Presidential Debate - No Independent Voters Allowed!
October 4, 2008 by Jorge Arrieta
As the presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain lie their way to the white house with empty promises, most Americans fail to see the growing nose of deceit. Perhaps the wood and plastic that make up the candidates just might be enough to once again fool the public into believing that these politicians will fulfill everyone’s hopes and desires.
Well the Town Hall debate at Belmont University, in my home town of Nashville, promises to be no different. The so called “Town Hall” debate is not even intended for the citizens of this town. If you do not believe me then just try to go to your “Town Hall” debate and see where your voice can be heard. The Commission on Presidential Debates is a private corporation controlled by the Republican and Democratic parties. They will choose who gets to attend and fill up those mindless seats. Independent voters need not apply.
So the real issues will not even be debated and maybe that is for the better because important issues require straight and true solutions - something which is impossible for a two headed serpent. Regardless, one thing is for sure, these egotists, albeit looking out for number one, have their bodies and minds tied to an even greater and menacing power who is tightening its grip.
