Microbes, Tissues and Robots

I have not posted to the blog much lately due to my work on my latest project. Thankfully, I have finished writing the script and now the journey begins. More on that later. I want to encourage everyone to post comments on the site – this is a great way for us to share our ideas and learn from one another. I have made some adjustments to the comment section so if anyone notices a problem or has a question or suggestion then please let me know. You will notice that there is a Google Friend Connect box in the side column. This really is easy to do and if you already have a Google or Yahoo account then you are just about finished with the process.

I saw this interesting video on my friend Randall Green’s site, Hackberry South – “The Hackberry South will rise again.” If you have never been there I encourage you to check it out, but be forewarned,  you may stay for a while looking at the many excellent posts. From art and technology to humor and entertainment – Hackberry South is a storytelling adventure.

This is a video of Juan Enriquez giving a talk at TED which is humorous and intriguing. Most of you have probably seen video of a TED talk, but if you have not, you are in for a pleasant surprise. This is a brief description of what TED is from the TED site, “TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes). This site makes the best talks and performances from TED available to the public, for free.”

Hope you enjoy the video.
