Greatest Nutrition Researcher of the 20th Century

May 28, 2009 by Jorge Arrieta

“Dr. Weston A. Price was a dentist and dental researcher who went on an investigation that spanned the globe to determine why native populations, who ate traditional foods, exhibited perfect physical health well into old age.

His research took him to remote tribal communities … and what he discovered made him one of the foremost authorities on the role of foods in their natural form, and the development of degenerative illnesses as a result of the addition of processed foods to your diet. His book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, stands as a classic work on the subject.

The video delves into Dr. Price’s work in greater detail, and provides insight into why eating your traditional diet of locally grown, seasonal, raw foods is so important to your health.” Article from Dr Joseph Mercola

Arnold’s won a 2009 James Beard Award!

May 18, 2009 by Jorge Arrieta

arnolds-country-kitchen-foodMy aunt and uncle, Rose and Jack Arnold, own Arnold’s Country Kitchen – a classic southern food experience. They have just won the America’s Classic Award from The James Beard Foundation. The JBF is a national not-for-profit organization based in New York City. Their mission is to celebrate, preserve, and nurture America’s culinary heritage and diversity in order to elevate the appreciation of our culinary excellence.

Just do a quick Google for Arnold’s Country Kitchen and you will see the praise that pours in from all over the country from sites like Yelp or this one from Roadfood.com. “We piled our trays with hunks of fried chicken, whipped potatoes and gravy, turnip greens, corn muffins, and slices of lightweight but heavy-flavored chocolate pie as well as classical Dixie banana pudding with vanilla wafers in the custard. Delicious, from first bite to last!”

So go eat at Arnold’s! Say hello to my cousin Kahilil and smile at Rose. Just be prepared to take a much deserved nap afterward.

Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land

May 12, 2009 by Jorge Arrieta

peace-by-warIf you are not afraid of the truth then watch this film. If you love humanity and believe children deserve a chance at hope then watch this film. Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land is one of the most important films I have seen. The Media Education Foundation (MEF) in response to the uncritical reaction by Western media to Israel’s massacre of Gaza, released this feature documentary online for free.

Now, when you first see a grenade, you may think of war, but probably not peace. This poster reveals the absurdity in what is consider by many to be the norm – “We must go to war to have peace.” Peace – War demands that the viewer question what is taken for granted. Year after year the public is sold this same double speak campaign that we must fight to have peace. Sounds rather ridiculous doesn’t it? Or does it? Has the contradictory and the preposterous been so ingrained in us that our thoughts find logic in what was once considered irrational?

You can watch Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land online or download it for free.

Monkey See Monkey Do

May 2, 2009 by Jorge Arrieta

monkey-see-monkey-do-poster-flu-hoaxThis is NOT the First Swine Flu Panic

(Poster was created by me, but this article is Dr Mercola’s) “The last time was in 1976, right before I entered medical school and I remember it very clearly. It resulted in the massive swine flu vaccine campaign. Do you happen to recall the result of this massive campaign?

Within a few months, claims totaling $1.3 billion had been filed by victims who had suffered paralysis from the vaccine. The vaccine was also blamed for 25 deaths.

However, several hundred people developed crippling Guillain-Barré Syndrome after they were injected with the swine flu vaccine. Even healthy 20-year-olds ended up as paraplegics.

And the swine flu pandemic itself? It never materialized.” Dr Mercola

More People Died From the Swine Flu Vaccine than Swine Flu!

“It is very difficult to forecast a pandemic, and a rash response can be extremely damaging.

To put things into perspective, malaria kills 3,000 people EVERY DAY, and it’s considered “a health problem”… But of course, there are no fancy vaccines for malaria that can rake in billions of dollars in a short amount of time.

One Australian news source,3 for example, states that even a mild swine flu epidemic could lead to the deaths of 1.4 million people and would reduce economic growth by nearly $5 trillion dollars.

Give me a break, if this doesn’t sound like the outlandish cries of the pandemic bird-flu I don’t know what does. Do you remember when President Bush said two million Americans would die as a result of the bird flu?” Dr Mercola

barbara-loe-fisher-vaccinesMy poster was inspired in part from a post on Barbara Loe Fisher’s Blog, Vaccine Awakening - some of which is quoted below. (So blame Barbara if you dislike the poster – just kidding.)

“Are you grabbing your face mask, stocking up on food and Tamiflu, locking your doors and keeping your TV tuned to the news to find out just how bad the “swine flu pandemic” really is going to get? While Americans are being scared to death, few are noticing how much of their tax money politicians are giving to drug companies and government health officials to grease the skids to create more experimental flu vaccines and drugs and more effective ways to quarantine or force their mass use whenever a “public health emergency” is declared in the future.” Read the rest here at Barbara Loe Fisher’s Blog
